A city guide's showcase of Athens, in English and Greek

A showcase of Athens, built for a guide to put their city in front of visitors before they arrive. Places are presented to be looked at rather than searched: the Acropolis and the Parthenon, the National Garden, the neighbourhoods worth walking, each with its own photograph and a short piece of the story behind it - the version of the city a person who knows it would choose to lead with. Sights are grouped by the kind of trip you are having - history, culture, food, neighbourhoods - and there is a search box for visitors who already know what they are after. Anything worth remembering can be kept aside for the trip. It reads in English or Greek, and the writing carries small pieces of the city most guides leave out, like the sacred olive tree on the Acropolis and the legend attached to it.
