Use case
How to build a community app with AI
A church, club or association usually needs the same handful of things online: a way to tell members what is happening, a place to sign up for it, and a list of who belongs. GrowApps turns a description of your community into a real app with those pieces built in, so members can open it on their phone the same day you describe it.
What to include
The screens a community app needs.
- An announcements or news feed for the group
- An events list with RSVP or sign up
- A member directory or group list
- A giving or dues page, if the group collects money
- A simple admin screen to post updates and see who signed up
Try it yourself
A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.
This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.
Build a community app for my parish, St. Nicholas. Show an announcements feed the priest can post to, an events calendar for services and gatherings where members can RSVP, and a giving screen for one time or monthly donations. Let members sign in with email and see a directory of ministry groups they can join.
What GrowApps sets up
The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.
Sign in for members
Email sign in ties an RSVP or a donation to a real person, and lets an admin post announcements with tools only they can see.
A members and events database
Announcements, events, RSVPs and directory entries are all stored and kept current as an admin updates them.
Payments, for dues or giving
Stripe handles one time or recurring donations and membership dues if the app collects them.
A live link
The app is reachable at a live link the moment the preview is ready, easy to share in a group chat or a bulletin.
Ready for Google Play
If the group wants a real app listing, GrowApps prepares the file Google Play asks for and walks you through the store steps.
Honest limits
What a first build will not get right.
An announcements feed, an events list with RSVP and a giving screen are a normal first build. A full member management system with roles, private groups and fine grained permissions usually needs a few more rounds after the first version, since every community structures its committees and groups a little differently. Be plain with members about who can see what before you launch it widely, and check the giving flow yourself with a real small donation first.
Cost
What building this costs in credits.
A first build like this uses about 4 credits on average. New accounts get starter credits plus 1 free credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card required. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, Pro is 200 a month for 300, and unused credits roll over for a month.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before building a community app.
Can members RSVP to events without creating a full account?
It depends on how you describe it. Most groups have members sign in so RSVPs and directory entries stay tied to a real person, but a lighter guest RSVP can be built if you prefer.
Can the app collect membership dues or donations?
Yes. Payments can be connected for one time giving or a recurring dues charge, and GrowApps wires up the billing.
Can different committees or ministry groups have their own space in the app?
Yes, though separating groups with their own permissions is a bit more involved than the core announcements and events flow, so plan for a second pass to get the structure exactly right.
Describe your community app and see it built.
GrowApps plans it, builds it and gives you a live preview the same day.
