Use case

How to make a fitness app with AI

A fitness app earns its place on someone's phone by tracking workouts, showing progress and getting them to come back tomorrow. With GrowApps you describe that in plain language, and an AI crew plans the screens, builds the app, adds sign-in and a database, and hands you a working app you can open on your own phone the same day.

What to include

The screens a fitness app needs.

  • Sign in and a short onboarding that asks for goals and experience level
  • A workout log where a user records sets, reps and weight, or logs a run or class
  • A weekly plan or calendar view showing what is due today
  • Progress charts for weight, personal bests or streaks over time
  • A profile screen with settings and, if you charge for premium plans, a way to manage that subscription

Try it yourself

A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.

This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.

Build a fitness app called IronLog for people who lift weights three times a week. Let users sign in with email, log a workout as a list of exercises with sets, reps and weight, see a history of past workouts, and view a simple chart of their heaviest lift per exercise over the last three months. Add a free plan and a 5 dollar a month plan that unlocks custom workout templates.

What GrowApps sets up

The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.

Email sign in, so a workout log is tied to one person and safe if they change phones.

A workout database

Every logged set, session and personal best is stored per user, ready for the charts and history screens to read from.

Payments, if you charge for it

Stripe billing for a premium tier, if the app has one, with GrowApps handling the subscription state.

A live link

The app is live at a shareable link the moment the preview is ready, and installable straight to a phone.

Ready for Google Play

When it is ready, GrowApps prepares the file Google Play asks for and walks you through the store steps.

Honest limits

What a first build will not get right.

A workout log and a chart of progress over time are a normal first build. Wearable integrations such as Apple Health or a heart rate strap are a heavier ask and usually take a few more turns of the conversation to get right, and anything involving live coaching video is outside what a first build should attempt. Review the generated workout logic yourself before anyone else uses the app, the same way you would review a contractor's first draft.

Cost

What building this costs in credits.

A first build like this uses about 4 credits on average. New accounts get starter credits plus 1 free credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card required. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, Pro is 200 a month for 300, and unused credits roll over for a month.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before building a fitness app.

Can GrowApps build a fitness app without me writing any code?

Yes. Describe the workouts, screens and any subscription in plain language, and GrowApps plans the app, builds it, runs checks and gives you a live preview to open and test.

Will my fitness app work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes. GrowApps builds one app that runs on the web, iPhone and Android, so the workout log and charts look and work the same everywhere.

Can I add a paid subscription tier later?

Yes. Payments can be connected when you first describe the app or added afterward, and GrowApps wires up the billing so a premium plan unlocks the features you choose.

Describe your fitness app and see it built.

GrowApps plans it, builds it and gives you a live preview the same day.
