How to make a real estate listings app with AI
A real estate listings app is your own catalogue: every property with photos, price, size and location, the filters buyers actually use, and an enquiry button that tells you which listing they mean. GrowApps builds it from a description of your listings and how you work, as a native iPhone and Android app and a web link you can send with each property.
The problem
What goes wrong without an app.
Your listings live in a dozen WhatsApp groups and a portal that charges per post. Buyers ask the same three questions about every flat: price, size, is it still free. You send the same photos again and again, and last week's leads are buried in chats. You want your own catalogue you can update in a minute, and enquiries that arrive with the property attached.
What to include
The screens a real estate listings app needs.
- A listings feed with filters: buy or rent, area, price range, bedrooms
- A property page with a photo gallery, key facts and a map link
- An enquiry form and a WhatsApp button that carry the property code
- Saved properties for a buyer who signs in
- An agent screen to add, edit and mark listings as sold or rented
- A leads list: who asked about which property, and when

A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.
This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.
Build a listings app for my agency, Casa Litoral, in Florianópolis. Listings are apartments and houses for sale or rent, with price in reais, area in square metres, bedrooms, bathrooms, parking spaces, neighbourhood, up to 15 photos and a description. Buyers filter by sale or rent, neighbourhood, price range and bedrooms. Each property page has a "Talk to an agent" WhatsApp button that puts the property code in the message, and an enquiry form. Agents sign in to add listings from their phone and mark them as sold or rented. Show me the enquiries for each property.
What GrowApps sets up
The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.
Agent sign-in
Agents sign in to add and edit listings. Buyers browse without an account, and can sign in to save favourites.
Photo uploads
Listing photos are uploaded straight from the phone and stored in the cloud, up to 50 MB each.
A leads database
Each enquiry is saved with the property, the buyer's contact and the date, so a lead does not disappear into a chat.
Maps
A link that opens the address in Google Maps or Apple Maps works from the first build. A map with a pin for every listing is a larger follow up.
Honest limits
What a first build will not get right.
Listings with photos, filters, a property page, enquiries and an agent screen are a normal first build. Pulling listings in from a portal or a CRM, a map with many pins, virtual tours and mortgage calculators each take extra work. If you already have hundreds of listings in a spreadsheet, plan a separate step to bring them in, and check them after.
Cost
How long it takes and what it costs.
The first build uses about 4 credits and is usually ready 10 to 20 minutes after you approve the design. Adding a field to listings or changing a filter is a small change, usually a fraction of a credit. A map with a pin for every listing is one of the bigger additions. Adding your real listings and photos is work you do in the agent screen, and it costs no credits.
The free plan gives 1 credit a day, up to 10 a month, with no card, which suits small changes. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, with a 7 day free trial (card required) and a first month of 15 dollars; a first build runs on that trial. Pro is 200 a month for 300 credits.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before building a real estate listings app.
Can I add listings from my phone?
Yes. Agents sign in and add a listing with photos straight from the phone's gallery.
Can buyers message me on WhatsApp about one property?
Yes. The WhatsApp button can open a chat with the property code already in the message, so you know which listing they mean.
Can I show all my properties on a map?
A map link per property is simple and part of a first build. A full map with a pin for every listing is possible, but takes a follow up change and more credits.
Will my own app replace the property portals?
No. Portals bring traffic you cannot easily get alone. Your own app is where you send people once they know you, and where your leads stay yours.
Describe your real estate listings app and see it built.
GrowApps plans it, builds it and gives you a live preview the same day.
