Use case
How to create a restaurant app with AI
A restaurant app usually needs to do two things well: show the menu clearly and take an order without confusion. GrowApps turns a plain description of your menu and how you take orders into a real, working app, with a database for the menu and orders, and a live preview you can hand to a server or a regular customer to try the same day.
What to include
The screens a restaurant app needs.
- A menu screen grouped by category, with photos, prices and descriptions
- A cart and checkout flow for pickup, delivery or table ordering
- An order status screen so a customer knows when food is ready
- A simple kitchen or staff view listing incoming orders
- A loyalty or repeat order shortcut for regulars, if you want one
Try it yourself
A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.
This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.
Build an ordering app for my restaurant, Taverna Kosta. Show a menu with 4 categories: starters, mains, grill and desserts, each with a photo, a price in euros and a short description. Let a customer add items to a cart, choose pickup or delivery, pay by card, and see an order status of received, preparing or ready. Give me a separate staff screen listing today's orders in the order they came in.
What GrowApps sets up
The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.
Sign in for staff, guest checkout for customers
Staff get an account to see the kitchen view, while customers can order without creating one if you prefer.
A menu and order database
Every dish, category and order is stored and kept in sync between the customer app and the staff view.
Payments
Card payments through Stripe are connected, so an order and a charge happen together.
A live link
The app is reachable at a live link the moment the preview is ready, so a customer can order from their phone without installing anything.
Ready for Google Play
If you want a proper app listing, GrowApps prepares the file Google Play asks for and walks you through the store steps.
Honest limits
What a first build will not get right.
A menu, a cart and an order status screen are a normal first build. Where this gets harder is anything that has to talk to hardware you already own: a receipt printer, an existing point of sale system or a third party delivery courier's own app. Those need a specific integration and usually a few more rounds of conversation, and GrowApps will tell you plainly if something is out of reach rather than fake it. Test the ordering flow yourself with a real card before putting it in front of customers.
Cost
What building this costs in credits.
A first build like this uses about 4 credits on average. New accounts get starter credits plus 1 free credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card required. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, Pro is 200 a month for 300, and unused credits roll over for a month.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before building a restaurant app.
Can GrowApps handle online payments for a restaurant app?
Yes. Payments can be connected so a customer pays when they order, and GrowApps wires up the checkout and keeps the order and the charge together.
Do I need a developer to change the menu later?
No. Open the build workspace, describe the change such as a new dish or a price update, and GrowApps updates the code and the live preview.
Can the app work for pickup only, without delivery?
Yes. Tell GrowApps which order types you offer when you describe the app, and it builds only the flow you asked for.
Describe your restaurant app and see it built.
GrowApps plans it, builds it and gives you a live preview the same day.
