Use case
How to build a small shop app with AI
A small shop app has to do the basics well: show products, take an order, and get the money. GrowApps builds that from a plain description of what you sell, with a real product catalog, a cart and checkout, and a live storefront you can send customers to the same day you describe it.
What to include
The screens a small shop app needs.
- A product catalog with photos, prices and stock levels
- A cart and checkout with card payment
- An order history a customer can check
- A simple inventory screen for you to update stock
- A discount code or promo field, if you run offers
Try it yourself
A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.
This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.
Build a shop app for my store, Little Leaf Plants. List products across 3 categories: indoor plants, pots and plant food, with a photo, price and stock count for each. Let a customer add items to a cart, pay by card, and see their past orders. Give me a screen to update stock levels and mark a product as sold out.
What GrowApps sets up
The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.
Sign in for customers, guest checkout optional
Customers can create an account to see order history, or check out as a guest if you prefer.
A products and orders database
Every product, stock count and order is stored and stays consistent between the storefront and your inventory view.
Payments
Stripe handles card checkout so an order and a charge happen together, with stock updated as items sell.
A live link
The storefront is live at a shareable link the moment the preview is ready, so you can start taking orders that day.
Ready for Google Play
When you want a proper app listing, GrowApps prepares the file Google Play asks for and walks you through the store steps.
Honest limits
What a first build will not get right.
A catalog, cart and checkout are a normal first build. Syncing stock with a physical till or an existing accounting system you already use is a specific integration and usually needs a second pass to connect correctly. Shipping rate calculation by weight and destination can start simple, flat rates work in a first build, and gets refined once you see real orders come through.
Cost
What building this costs in credits.
A first build like this uses about 4 credits on average. New accounts get starter credits plus 1 free credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card required. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, Pro is 200 a month for 300, and unused credits roll over for a month.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before building a small shop app.
Can the shop app take real card payments?
Yes. Payments are connected through Stripe, so a customer can pay by card at checkout and you receive the funds.
Will stock levels update automatically when something sells?
Yes, if you describe that when you build the app. GrowApps keeps a stock count that goes down as orders come in and can mark items sold out.
Can I run the shop on both a website and an app?
Yes. The same app runs on the web, iPhone and Android, so the storefront works the same everywhere.
Describe your small shop app and see it built.
GrowApps plans it, builds it and gives you a live preview the same day.
