Looking for an alternative? Here is an honest map.
GrowApps builds native iOS and Android apps, plus the web, from one Flutter codebase, and you build them by describing what you want. That is a good fit for some people and not for others. Below, every tool we are often compared with: what it builds, whether it makes native phone apps, whether you can take the code, and what it costs to start.
At a glance
Ten app builders, side by side.
Checked October 2026 against each tool's own pricing and docs. Each page links its sources.

How to choose
Three questions decide most of it.
Does it need to be on a phone?
If customers will install it, rule out tools that only make websites or wrap them. If a website is enough, Lovable, Bolt and Base44 are fast.
Will you write or read code?
Developers get the most from Replit, Bolt and FlutterFlow. If you never want to see code, pick a tool you talk to, such as GrowApps.
Do you want to keep the code?
Bubble, Adalo and Thunkable apps cannot leave their platforms. GrowApps exports the full source on every plan.

Lovable alternative
Lovable builds web apps. Pick GrowApps when the product has to be a native phone app too.
Bolt.new alternative
Bolt makes web apps and Expo mobile apps for developers. GrowApps suits owners who never want a terminal.
Replit alternative
Replit is a full coding workspace with an agent. GrowApps is a chat that hands you a finished app.
Rork alternative
Rork writes separate Swift and Kotlin apps. GrowApps writes one Flutter app for both phones and the web.
FlutterFlow alternative
Both make Flutter apps. FlutterFlow is a visual builder; GrowApps builds the app from a chat.
Base44 alternative
Base44 wraps a web app for the stores. GrowApps builds a native Flutter app you can export whole.
Emergent alternative
The closest match in price and approach. Emergent writes React Native; GrowApps writes Flutter.
Bubble alternative
Bubble is powerful but you cannot take the code. GrowApps builds from a chat and exports everything.
Adalo alternative
Adalo publishes to both stores cheaply but never exports code. GrowApps exports all of it.
Thunkable alternative
Thunkable is drag and drop with logic blocks. GrowApps builds the app from a chat as Flutter code.

Frequently asked questions
Choosing an app builder, answered directly.
Which AI app builders make native iOS and Android apps?
As of October 2026: GrowApps and FlutterFlow (Flutter), Rork (Swift and Kotlin), Bolt, Replit and Emergent (React Native with Expo), Bubble (React Native), and Adalo and Thunkable (their own runtimes). Lovable builds web apps, and Base44 puts its web apps in a native wrapper.
Which app builders let me export the code?
GrowApps exports the full Flutter source on every plan. Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Rork, FlutterFlow, Base44 and Emergent offer GitHub sync or code download, some only on paid plans. Bubble, Adalo and Thunkable do not export code.
What is the cheapest way to build a mobile app with AI?
Most tools have a free plan for trying things, and first paid plans run from about 16 to 59 US dollars a month. GrowApps Standard is 20 dollars a month with a 7 day free trial and a 15 dollar first month. The cheapest tool is the one that gets your app finished, so try two on their free plans or trials.
