Rork alternative
The best Rork alternative for iOS and Android apps
Rork is a strong AI builder for phone apps. Its docs say new iPhone apps are written in Swift and new Android apps in Kotlin, and it can build and upload to the App Store without a Mac. GrowApps writes one Flutter codebase that runs natively on iOS and Android and also on the web. Pick GrowApps if you want one app everywhere and a web version of it on a link. Stay with Rork for Apple only features or a guided App Store upload.
The short answer
Who should pick which.
Pick GrowApps if
- You want one codebase for iPhone, Android and the web, changed by one chat.
- Your customers will also open the app in a browser, from a link.
- You want to try a full build on a 7 day free trial; Rork's free plan is design only.
- You run a small business and need sign-in, a database and payments set up for you.
Stay with Rork if
- You want Swift and SwiftUI code specifically.
- You need Apple Watch, iPad, Vision Pro or widget apps, which Rork offers on Max.
- You want App Store builds and upload handled inside the tool, without a Mac.
- The app is iPhone first and the web does not matter.

Two codebases or one
Rork's docs say new iPhone apps are Swift and new Android apps are Kotlin. Older Rork projects used Expo and React Native and keep working. Writing each platform in its own language gives the most native feel, and it means two apps to keep in step when you change something.
GrowApps writes Flutter. One codebase compiles to native iOS and Android apps and runs on the web too. When you ask for a change in the chat, every version gets it at once.
Where Rork is ahead
Rork is built around the App Store. You set a bundle ID and icon, sign in with Apple, and Rork builds and uploads on its own machines, with no Mac or Xcode. You finish the listing in App Store Connect. Its top plan adds Apple Watch, iPad, Vision Pro, games and widgets.
GrowApps does not hand you that App Store flow. It builds the iPhone app from the same Flutter code, prepares the signed Android App Bundle for Google Play and guides those steps. If one tap to App Store Connect is what you need most, Rork is the better fit today.
Free plans and prices
Rork's docs list a free plan with 5 credits a day, up to 35 a month in major markets, in design mode only: building a working app needs a paid plan. Pro is 20 US dollars a month for 100 credits, and Max starts at 200 dollars. Rork's own pages do not all agree (its FAQ mentions plans from 25 dollars), so check before you buy.
GrowApps' free plan gives 1 credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card, which suits small changes. A first build uses about 4 credits and runs on Standard's 7 day free trial. After the trial, Standard is 20 dollars a month for 20 credits, and the first month is 15 dollars.
The web version
Rork makes phone apps. GrowApps gives you a web version of the same app on a link, which matters for small businesses: a customer can book or order from an Instagram bio or a WhatsApp message without installing anything first.

Frequently asked questions
Rork alternatives, answered directly.
Does Rork build native apps?
Yes. Rork's docs say new iPhone apps are written in Swift and new Android apps in Kotlin. GrowApps also builds native apps, from one Flutter codebase that covers both phones and the web.
Can I build a working app for free?
Rork's docs say the free plan is design mode only, and building a working app needs a paid plan. On GrowApps a first build also needs credits, and Standard starts with a 7 day free trial (card required). The free daily credit then covers small changes.
Which is better for the App Store, Rork or GrowApps?
Rork, if a guided App Store upload without a Mac is the deciding feature. GrowApps builds the iPhone app from the same code as Android and the web, and guides the Google Play steps.
Can I export the code?
On Rork, paid plans sync the code to GitHub. On GrowApps you can export the full Flutter source on every plan, including free.
